Our Association
The Italian Geothermal Association (UGI) is an independent, non-partisan, apolitical, and non-profit association. Our mission is to bring all aspects of information, communication and education on geothermal energy to support and promote the growing Italian and European geothermal community and accelerate a secure and clean energy transition.
Our vision is to be respected as independent and trusted voice, leading the Italian geothermal network and educating the communities in terms of the best practices for both thermal use, electricity generation and strategic minerals extraction.

Territorial Branches
To pursue its goals, UGI has established a network of scientific and educational collaborations on the national territory, through agreements with University Departments, which manage local projects and relationships of common interest. These branches have the task of establishing and maintaining relationships with regional institutions, local authorities, industrial organizations, and technical-scientific and cultural associations, maintaining close contacts with the Members and carrying out more incisive actions to promote geothermal energy at a territorial level.
